Better late than never

It struck me the other day that I have not shown the world the beautiful items we received following a dolls clothes swap at Christmas!

Time to rectify this, so without further ado, drum roll please,

This is my Froken Skicklig doll, Olive.  The dress and cardigan were made by myself (as was the doll) but the shoes and bag were beautifully handmade by a fellow Froken Skicklig e-course attendee, Britt-Marie!

Aren't they lovely?  Handknitted and then felted.  We are very lucky to have them!

And the cupboard was bare

After a flurry of activity in my little shop this weekend, my dolls wardrobe was looking a bit empty...

With that in mind, this is how my craft table looks right now....

It is a surprisingly difficult job, matching the right button with the right ribbon to the right material but someone's got to do it!

And as this dress sold quickly and was much admired, I am making some more!

The Liberty material of this dress is really pretty, I can see why it is so popular and of course you can't go wrong with a bit of ribbon and a button.....

Nowhere to put any mugs....

On a previous post, this one to be precise, I showed you what happens to stray and homeless mug-trees in my house, well I've been at it again!

So whilst we dont have anywhere to put any mugs, we do now have somewhere to display dolls dresses!

I've also been playing with some of my current favourite Liberty fabric, a dress intended for the shop but I might have to make another one as number two child has taken rather a fancy to it..

And in non-doll related happenings I thought I would show you a picture taken at the weekend at the seaside, such a lovely day but very windy!  We were collecting seashells for a school project, luckily no one fell in the water!

That is us all the way out to sea on quite a busy beach but you wouldn't think so from this picture!

Playing with dolls clothes

So I have been busy playing with dolls dresses, trying to develop new patterns that will still meet my requirements and still fit a wide range of dolls.

The advantage to having a mummy who does this sort of thing, is that a little girl's dolls get new outfits from time to time!

I only hope they like pink!
